bio.
My name is Christopher Myers and I was born and raised in Findlay, Ohio. Over the course of my 28 years of living I have lived in Florida, and various other Ohio cities, but Findlay has always been my favorite; it just feels like home.
I am married to a beautiful woman named Mandy and together we have the cutest little girl in the world (see above). My daughter is a huge daddy's girl and I would not want it any other way. Family is the single most important aspect of my life. I am also blessed to have some really great close friends that I can share life with. Life really would not be worth living if it were not for family, friends, coffee, and Apple!
design.
I love experimenting with new techniques and methods in both web and graphic design. I'm the guy who is constantly doing photoshop tutorials and reading articles on the latest in web development. Web design is still a young job field and everyday someone is doing something that could possibly change how we do everything. It just makes good sense to stay on top of the game.
My personal taste in design has changed and evolved over the years. When I first started out I favored the grunge style. More recently though I have taken more and more away from my design and I have developed a love for minimalism in design. Do more with less. Design is about communication anyway and with America's decreasing attention span, nobody wants to wait for information. They want to process it as fast as possible.

design / xhtml / css
This was an early site I created while freelancing. It is a little dated, but I created all of the textures used on the site. It uses Cushy CMS so the client can update the site.
want more?
Like many designers, I have spent the majority of my career working for someone else. I am not comfortable posting the work I have done for current and previous employers on my site. If you want to see more of my work, please send me an email and I will send you some links.

I am a standards based web developer. Every site I develop is crafted from scratch every time. Starting with Photoshop and ending up live on the web. Generally, I stick to XHTML as it is still the standard, however, I am ready for the world to move on to HTML5 and CSS3. Here is the boring list of software and tools that I use to get the job done:
-
software
- Photoshop
- Illustrator
- InDesign
- Flash
- Espresso
FileZilla Flow
-
code
- XHTML
- HTML5
- CSS
- and a little php
-
operating systems
- OS X (Apple) - the best
- Windows - gets the job done for the most part
- Ubuntu - if only Photoshop were native
